On February 14, the annual Senior Night was held for the varsity boys basketball team during the last home game of the season against the Joliet Catholic Academy Hilltoppers. 

This year, Benet Academy will graduate 12 seniors on the team: Nikola Abusara, Ethan Baratta, Luke Bremner,  Jack Burns, Jacob Conrad, Sam Driscoll, Brayden Fagbemi, Declan Hanus, Brady Kunka, Matt Moran, Andy Nash, and Aidan Pusatera. 

Benet Academy was undefeated in conference play this year. They would achieve this accomplishment with a win over Joliet Catholic Academy. The game was a nail-biter, with Benet Academy being down at the half and after the third quarter. Despite this, Benet Academy would muster a late surge to take the lead.

Ultimately, the Redwings emerged victorious 62 to 56 over the Hilltoppers. Varsity team member Parker Sulaver stated that the team, “overcame a lot of distractions to pull out the win.” With the Tuesday win, Benet Academy has only lost one game this season. The team will continue their fairytale year in the postseason playoffs by facing Addison Trail on February 22.
