Girls tennis swinging into the new season

Twenty-four girls strong, the Benet Academy Redwings varsity girls tennis team is serving it up with each match.

With 14 wins and only three losses, this year’s Redwings squad is breezing through the competition. Losing the second game of their season did not phase them, and they went on to play phenomenally at the Schaumburg Invitational on August 25th. There, they took home second place by beating Oswego 6-0 and tying 3-3 with both Wheaton Academy and Metea Valley. On August 28th, they moved on to create a racket at Nazareth Academy, beating them 5-0.

Benet then continued on to play in two more invitationals, placing in the top five in both of them; they finished in fourth place at the St. Charles East Invitational on September 8th and third place at the Rolling Meadows Invitational on September 29th.

From here on out, Benet Academy’s varsity girls tennis team continues to swing through their matches.
