Summer Ball

The summer baseball season was met with a great deal of success. Despite the loss of key seniors, including Marty Dosen and Tyler Bautista, The Redwings finished with 14-3 record, with the seniors-to-be stepping up and filling their new roles to the brim. Thomas Snell was able to have a good command of the outfield, with Paddy Hincks and Jack Schneider manning the infield with a strong grip.

This summer bliss came to an unfortunate end in the first game of the play-offs, in which Benet took a heartbreaking defeat to Naperville Central. This quick end to the post season fell short of the regular season achievement of being Sectional Champions, but senior Paddy Hincks isn’t worried, saying “It honestly just makes me more hungry to work this offseason [in order to have a stellar season]. Our [summer] season record is more indicative of what they were capable of. We got this.”
