Colorful dresses, before- and- after parties, suits, mosh pits, bright lights, night skies, and jungles … what does that sound like? The 2026 Benet Homecoming Dance, of course!

This year, the Hoco dance was held on Saturday, September 12th, much earlier than in previous years. This fortunately meant that students got to enjoy summer weather before the onset of fall. Due to construction on the new stadium, the dance was held in the St. Daniel’s parking lot, the perfect location for both dancing and socializing. Students could go into the giant white tent to dance with friends, or they could talk and relax in the grass. These options made this year’s Hoco exceptionally exciting and fun, as students were thrown into the jungle! Sophomore Roman Huston, a Student Government Class Representative, said, “SG made the decision on the Hoco theme by hosting their meetings and engaging the student body, and we had a record amount of people go to them this year so far!”

When asked about future events, Huston said, “As for upcoming events, we always have our yearly lineup with Christmas Drive, and I hope that we get more in the future!” Clearly, Benet SG has big plans for fun, service, and celebration this year. Whether a dance or a school service project, friendship and fun are common themes at all Benet events.
