Benet spring sports are in full swing! Per usual, the Redwings are rolling in hardware. The Girls Track team was first to add to the trophy cabinet, with 3 Redwings placing top 10 at the state meet. Louisa Diamond, Nicole Grimes and Valerie Sarros all placed in their respective events. Girls Soccer didn’t disappoint either, handling the Hinsdale South Hornets 7-0 claiming the regional title. They will move on to the Wheaton Academy Sectional. The Redwing Softball team looks to book their ticket to their regional finals when they play on May 24th at home. The highly ranked Girls Lacrosse team looks to start their Sectional bout on May 23rd following the Boys Lacrosse sectional opener. 

The Boys side didn’t disappoint either, as the Boys Tennis Team captured the sectional title, notably winning both the doubles and singles competition. They will move on to the state championships at Hersey High School starting May 26th. The Boys Track team is not far behind the Tennis Team, with the boys impressively winning their sectional, with all four of their relay teams winning as well. Starting Friday, May 27th, the Redwings will compete at state at Eastern Illinois University. Boys Baseball is also looking to make a deep run in their state tournament, playing their regional semifinal on May 25th at Kaneland High School. Sectionals is on the list next for the Lacrosse Team and they will start that journey on May 23rd.
