January 24th, 2024 marked Benet Academy’s 50,000th day of school. School spirit filled the festive hallways in remembrance of March 2nd 1887, the opening day of Benet.
Benet Academy faculty and students worked tirelessly to decorate for this immense achievement. A red and white 50,000 link chain draped across all the first floor hallways. A google form was sent out to quiz students on Benet Academy history. The winner, Junior Keira Pertrucelli, won a $50 Amazon gift card. The faculty also provided cake during all lunch periods for students. The cake was delicious according to sophomore Bridget Hausenhaur, she continues, “Benet did a fantastic job decorating the school and celebrating! This event made my week!” The students also had a spirit day to celebrate this remarkable accomplishment.
Ultimately, the 50,000 day Benet Academy was a tremendous success. Students had a great time, and the faculty was very dedicated to the festivities. This day will go down in the Benet Academy history books.
