Aspiring Santas

With the annual Christmas Drive, many amusing forms of fundraising arise within the walls of Benet. From Penny Wars to the cafeteria auction, there are plenty of activities for everyone to engage in.

For those students searching for something with a little more personal involvement and competitive edge, The Beard Growing Contest is definitely the competition for you! Benet boys who constantly find themselves fretting over a clean shaven face can make one payment of $15 for a “Beard Pass” and save themselves a load of time and effort in the morning for the remainder of Christmas Drive.

Teachers like Mr. Matt Wash and Mr. Randy Aust set prime examples of ideal, masculine facial hair for the young men of Benet. While walking through the halls at the Academy, some of the stronger student beards can be seen on the faces of Junior Brian Gould, and brothers Senior Bennett Curtis and Junior Nate Curtis.

Although this competition is mostly directed towards upperclassmen, all Benet students can enjoy and observe intently as the participants begin to look more and more like Santa Claus.
