Valerie Figueroa, Section Editor
In the 2024-25 school year, Valerie Figueroa (‘26) was the Section Editor of the Fine Arts, Opinion, Ask A Redwing, and A Redwing You Should Know Sections, and was the secondary Section Editor for the School News Section.
Hi everyone! My name is Valerie Figueroa, and I am a current junior at Benet as well as an Editor of the Benet Herald for the 2024-2025 school year. At Benet, I am President of the Human Rights Club, a Turning Pointe representative in Benet Buddies, member of Model United Nations, member of National Honors Society and in Orchestra. Outside of Benet, I studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico. Also, I like enhancing my Spanish with my coworkers at La Michoacana, a Mexican ice-cream shop. Before Benet, I lived in London for five years and enjoyed traveling all over Europe and Asia. I am excited for my first year as an Editor on the Benet Herald. The Herald is such an amazing environment, as it is collaborative and supportive.
