Grant Cabana, Staff Writer
Hello, Readers! My name is Grant Cabana, and I am currently a freshman at Benet Academy. As a long-time cross-country runner, pianist, and writer, I appreciate the immeasurable opportunities to fulfill myself academically, socially, and spiritually at Benet. By the time I graduate, I hope to transform myself through obtaining good grades, meeting new friends, and finding God’s calling; with a balance of both work and fun, I plan to maximize my time as a student at Benet. I confidently believe that after four productive years, I can pursue my future career as a surgeon.
Outside of school, one can usually find me criss-crossing the campus for cross-country practice or analyzing history. I commonly spend the time reading current events around the world and playing action games on my phone. Additionally, as a pianist, I play waltzes, sonatinas, and études on my family’s Yamaha piano for performances.
I hope to deepen my commitment to the Benet Herald during freshman year. I wish to follow in the footsteps of my favorite novelists, who prior to their acclaimed careers, worked in journalism. I am grateful to be a member of such a wonderful young community of writers.
