A murder mystery came to Benet Academy in the form of art- a play. Clue is a modern play based off of the board game, of which the Benet Theater Association set on stage in Saints Daniel’s Auditorium. When a group of six guests are invited to an odd dinner in a house called the Boddy Manor, the host is suddenly murdered. The guests are forced to find the killer amongst themselves and the staff within the manor, but how many of them are actually innocent? And how will they stop the count of bodies stacking up whilst simultaneously watching their own backs? With stunning comedy, a hint of tragedy, and a lot of death and mystery, the production was perfect for Halloween spirit.
Clue opened the curtain for audiences on November 6, only a few days after the holiday. The play was directed by Ms. Alcorn with a cast of eleven Redwings, a production team of four, and an even larger number of students on crew. “It was so fun being apart of Clue and watching the show come together. Such a joy working with the amazing cast and crew,” Agatha Zimmer states, a freshman here at Benet who played the role of Yvette who is a French maid and finds herself both a victim and a murderer. With a fantastic show on Sunday, Clue went out with a bang and closed the show November 9. Congrats to every single Redwing and staff member who helped put together the amazing production.
