Shea Kelly, Staff Writer
Hi all! My name is Shea Kelly, and this is my first year on the Benet Herald as a Staff Writer. I am a junior at Benet, and I have an older sister at the University of Tennessee, a freshman sister currently at Benet, and a little brother in sixth grade. I enjoy hanging out with friends, attending concerts, traveling, reading, and shopping. I am involved in Benet Swim, Track and Field, the National Honor Society, and Friends of Imiliwaha. Additionally, I am a Student Government Representative and an Anselm Scholars in the Benet Scholars Program. Through Benet Scholars, I have helped in the first set of CARE classes for incoming freshmen over the summer, as well as attended Harvard Model Congress during my sophomore year in Boston. Outside of Benet, I am on the Hinsdale Family Services Junior Board where we raise money and collect/distribute food and basic necessities for those in need. I am most interested in topics discussing history, literature, sports, psychology, and current events. I am so excited for my first year with Benet Herald, and I am grateful for the opportunity to write about the achievements of my peers and Benet in such a positive environment!
