Michael Francis ’26 is the executive director of the Benet Academy Scholars Program, a position he has held for two years now. He is also in his third term representing the class of 2026 as a Student Government representative. In addition to his Student Government role, he sits on the Student Clubs and Activities Council (SCAC) Finance Committee, where he allocates funds to enhance student organizations. He also chairs the board of governors for the Benet Investment Club, fostering financial literacy and investment skills. Michael competes at the varsity level for Benet as a swimmer and continues to train with a club team during the off-season. Outside of Benet, he serves as the vice president of membership for Young Hearts for Life, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free cardiac screenings to high school students. Michael is also a co-founder and the executive director of the Chicago Youth Advancement Initiative (CYAI), which empowers youth centers across Chicago by providing valuable academic enrichment opportunities. In addition to these roles, Michael takes pride in serving as an election judge in suburban Cook County.
