Hello! My name is Helena McCabe. I am a freshman at Benet Academy and I am excited to take on my role in the Benet Herald as an Activity Writer. In addition to the Benet Herald, I am involved with Student Government as well as the Friends of Imiliwaha Junior Board. Outside of school, I volunteer several times a week at my local library, regularly participate in Feed My Starving Children, and help at local food pantries. Some of my interests are writing, art, architecture, reading, traveling, and learning about different cultures. Given my interest in writing, I am very thankful to have this opportunity to be part of the team at the Benet Herald. I am looking forward to gaining a better understanding of journalism, enhancing my writing skills, meeting more people within the Benet community, and having the chance to write informative news articles about current events at Benet Academy.
