Life is Very Good week was a smashing success at Benet Academy this past week. Benet held an amazing sequence of events to celebrate the gift of life.
The week started on Monday with a Rosary before school. During fourth period a speaker came on the announcement and shared a testimonial about the blessing of life. During both fifth and sixth period there were Rosaries in the Chapel. After school L.I.F.T created sidewalk chalk depicting uplifting messages and drawings supporting life.
On Tuesday for a free will donation, students could wear
a blue or pink top with their uniform bottoms to show their support. This was a particularly fun event that the majority of students participated in. It was amazing to view all of the pink and blue in the hallways. During fourth period there was another enlightening testimonial. After school, L.I.F.T hosted a tie-dying event with snacks.
Wednesday was kicked off with a five dollar spirit day which left the Benet hallways in a sea of red, white, and black. This was a great fundraising opportunity that celebrated both the Redwing spirit and life! There was another testimonial during fourth period followed by an additional chance to pray the Rosary during fifth and sixth period.
On Thursday there was a “Pack the Chapel” Mass that collected baby wipes and diapers. Students that attended Mass had the opportunity to grab donuts afterwards. On the announcements another amazing testimonial was shared.
Sophomore Ally Evans shared her thoughts about the week, “It’s a good and holy week that recognizes the little souls lost and the little souls that have been saved. It serves a great message and the week overall was planned out well.” Ally perfectly summarizes the importance and amazing execution of the week.
Overall, the week was exciting and filled with love, community, and a phenomenal celebration of the gift of life!
