The Benet Investment Club is one of the most popular clubs at Benet. This club has a great turnout, with roughly 190 enrolled members and 70 members attending each meeting. Senior Nick Derbis, president of Investment Club since his sophomore year, said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the year and I am looking forward to some future announcements that will leave a lasting impact at Benet!” Investment Club meetings, taking place every other Wednesday morning, talk about topics that are important for all investors to understand. Some of the topics being discussed include market factors, diversification basics, dollar costs averaging principles, and market terminology.

Recently, the Investment Club welcomed a guest speaker to teach members more about the financial world. The guest speaker was Matt Kaufman, Global Head of ETFs at Calamos Investments. Kaufman was a very informative guest speaker because Calamos recently used his expertise and leadership skills to launch a protected Bitcoin ETF. At the meeting, students were able to ask any questions they had about finance or investing.

With the beginning of the year starting off strong, the Investment Club members can’t wait to see what the future holds.
