The girls’ volleyball team had a great season and finished with a trip to state. They won their first match and got into the state finals. At the state finals, they fought a hard three-set match against Marist. Even though they lost, their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the team were evident throughout the season. Maddie Smith, a viewer of the state championship, said, “It was a hard-fought match, and you could tell the team put everything they had into it.” This team has been unbelievable to watch and is one of the most talented teams Benet has ever had. The team finished with a 40-2 record. Several of the girls are continuing their volleyball career in college, and it will be fun to watch these redwings compete at the next level.
