As the Benet swim season ends, Benet Academy recognizes and celebrates the hard-working girls who relentlessly commit themselves to their sport. Specifically, at the annual end-of-season brunch, the 2025 swim captains were announced. Four current juniors represent Benet swim next season: Gisele Buchar, Clare Donnelly, Kamryn Engram, and Caroline Shepherd. As the 2024 season closes, a 2025 team led by great coaches and talented captains promises great things.

The 2025 captains are not only record-breakers but example-setters. Shepherd swims the 100 meter breast, and Engram swims the 100 meter fly. Gisele, who has set the 200-free relay record at Benet, normally swims the 50 meter free and 100 meters free. Donnelly typically swims the 100-meter breaststroke and 50-meter free. She has set three Benet records: 100-meter breast, 200-meter free relay, and 200-meter medley relay. When asked about their perspective on their prospective season they agreed, “We finished this season on a great note and we can’t wait to see how our team grows next year.” Without a doubt, the Benet faculty and student population also can’t wait to see the 2025 girls’ swim team enter the water next season.
