On Sunday, October 27th, the Benet Scholars Program hosted its Fall Signature Dinner event. Scholars dined in the St. Mary Heritage Gallery and enjoyed each other’s company. The program was excited to welcome Mrs. Sheri Costello, Benet’s new principal, as the keynote speaker for the evening. Mrs. Costello spoke on the topic of leadership and the difference between taking on leadership roles and actually leading people.
Principal Costello’s point was that by just saying yes to every leadership opportunity we are offered, we are only lessening the impact we can have in each role we possess. The program was extremely grateful to Mrs. Costello for joining the scholars and reflecting on a common experience for Benet students. Program leadership looks forward to hosting the Spring Signature Dinner with another great speaker next year and many more exciting upcoming events.
Benet Scholars Director of Admissions & Retention Gregory Warren ‘26 thoroughly enjoyed the event and the opportunity to engage with scholars of different programs and grades, “In my position, I rarely get the chance to hear younger scholars’ ideas and opinions on things. I also find myself frequently confined to the Conversatio and St. Hildegard circles, and I appreciate being seated at a table with mostly St. Anselm scholars. I will definitely take some of the lessons that I learned into consideration when making big decisions in the future.”
