The Benet Academy Cross Country postseason has officially ended. The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams had an amazing postseason with many top finishes and spectacular times.

Rewinding to the Regionals meet on the 21st of October, the Girls Cross Country team took home a first-place finish, with Delilah Helenhouse leading the team with a second-place overall finish. The Boys Cross Country team finished in second-place, missing first by only a couple of points. Both teams advanced to the Sectional Meet.

The next weekend, at the Sectional meet, both the Girls and Boys teams came in second-place. The girls team was again led by Delilah Helenhouse, who finished with another second-place finish individually. Finn Richards, Charlie Phelan, and Aiden Hulet all finished with the All-Sectional honor in the boys race. Both teams qualified for the IHSA State Meet the next weekend.

Benet Academy sent the Cross Country teams off with the best wishes the day before the big race. The girls team ended their season with a nineteenth-place finish. Congratulations to the boys team, with their seventh-place finish as a team and All State finishes from Finn Richards and Charlie Phelan. Aiden Hulet finished in twenty-sixth place, just one place away from the All-State honor.

The Benet Academy Cross Country teams have had a very successful season, and they cannot wait to compete next year.
