The SEASPAR Monster Mash Dance proved a great way to celebrate Halloween. On October 27th, Benet hosted the Monster Mash Dance with SEASPAR. The dance took place in the Alumni Gym.
Benet students arrived at 5:30 P.M. to set up for the dance and decorate the gym. The decorations helped make the gym come to life in the true spirit of Halloween. These decorations included streamers, Halloween images, and scary figures. About 40 SEASPAR guests arrived at 6 P.M for the festivities. The SEASPAR guests came in great costumes, including iconic characters like Fred Flinstone, Cinderella, Woody, Superman, and Little Red Riding Hood. Others dressed as foods like a banana, a waffle, ketchup, and mustard. The variety of costumes definitely was a highlight of the night.
Midway through the dance, SEASPAR guests were able to enjoy some snacks. The break was needed since everyone had been dancing non-stop. The song selections ranged from Grease and Elvis to Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves when dancing, creating such a positive environment. There was also a photo booth at the dance which allowed guests to take fun photos with the students and each other.
At around 8:45 P.M., the SEASPAR guests said goodbye to the students. After the guests left, students stayed to clean up. Overall, the dance was a very fun way to celebrate Halloween, while making Benet’s SEASPAR friends very happy.
