From October 16 through October 20, Benet Academy celebrated Life Week. Life week is a week dedicated to the importance of both born and unborn life. Benet Academy’s campus ministry group L.I.F.T. organized many fun activities to celebrate Life Week. On Monday, L.I.F.T. offered a lunch/homeroom rosary and met after school to draw chalk messages and pictures. On Tuesday, there was a rosary outside St. Joseph’s Circle at 7:10 a.m. and an after-school talk from the Students for Life organization. On Wednesday, there was a pack-the-chapel mass at 7:10 a.m. and a blue/pink shirt day for a $3 donation. On Thursday, L.I.F.T. sold slushies at the campus ministry office for $3, and there was an after-school watch party for the movie Bella. On Friday, there was a Slop Day, as music played during passing periods. This week was dedicated to highlighting the Catholic view of the protection of life from conception to death.
