On Friday October 6th and Saturday October 7th, the Benet Academy Girls Golf team went to the The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Tournament. The team ended with a 6th place standing overall, which is the highest placing the girls team has ever gotten. Notably, sophomore Reina Maceren shot a hole-in-one on the 17th hole and senior Jenna Shilts placed 2nd out of 115 golfers. To sum up the weekend, junior Isabelle Grane said, “Going downstate was a super great experience, and having a team full of good supportive friends made it super memorable. I’m sad the season has come to an end, but it’s great to have such fun memories to look back on!”
