Over Spring Break in 2023, the Benet Academy boys baseball team spent the week down in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The boys had the opportunity to play lots of baseball throughout the week and made the most of it. Playing teams from all over the country, the boys had a fun and successful trip.

The baseball team took advantage of every game given to them. With seven games played during the week, the boys went 6-1 combined, with Varsity going 4-1 and JV going 2-0. Teams from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin got losses handed to them by the red-hot Redwings. Throughout the week, Benet Academy outscored their opponents 79-17 and fell short by only one run in their lone loss.

The fantastic week of games for the Redwings was sure to prepare them well for their upcoming season. Junior Marc Iozzo said, “This week was an amazing opportunity to find our rhythm before conference games kick-off. We got an awesome chance to come together as a team and start to heat up before we come back and play our conference opponents back home.”

Coming off a hot streak down south, the boys hope to keep it going into their conference-opening series against St. Patrick High School.
