This spring, Benet has many boys and girls sports to look forward to, enjoy, and spend some quality time outdoors cheering on our Benet Redwing spring athletes.  The spring sports consist of baseball, softball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, boys volleyball, boys tennis, boys track and girls track. Get ready to watch and cheer on these spring athletes performing at a high level as our 2019-2020 school year is closing in.

Baseball:  Coach Bob Gelwicks has high hopes for the Benet Academy baseball team this year.  They are looking forward to bouncing back from last year to have a winning season ahead of them.  

Softball:  Girls softball is gearing up for an exciting season ahead.  They are looking to top their wins from last year as Coach Jerry Schilf continues to carry on his winning record with the Lady Redwings.

Girls Soccer:  The Benet girls soccer team is looking to defend their state title this spring. The girls were 2A State Champions as they took on Wauconda at North Central College. They are looking forward to another triumphant season this spring.

Boys Lacrosse:  This season the boys lacrosse team is packed with many of the star returning players out on the field. They are looking forward to a successful season this spring and fans in the stands cheering them on.

Girls Lacrosse:  The girls lacrosse team is excited to come out strong and improve their 11 and 9 record from last year with returning players who are motivated to carry on a winning season. Come cheer out these girls as they battle tough out on the LAX field.

Boys Volleyball:  Benet boys volleyball team ended last year second in conference with a record of 7 and 1. They eagerly await coming back even stronger to take the top of the conference this season and bump, set, and spike their way to victory.  As an added plus, this is the only indoor spring sport.

Boys Tennis:  The boys are looking forward to getting out on the court and protecting their conference title from last year.  The boys tennis team is anxiously awaiting preferred weather to have the Benet fans cheer them on to another championship.

Boys Track:  The boys track team is excited about this season to win their fourth consecutive conference title and reign on top as champions. The Redwings will show their speed, swiftness, and athletic abilities in all events so come cheer them on.

Girls Track:  The girls track team has won 23 conference titles since 1992 and anticipates another conference title this spring season. The girls are training, practicing, and gearing up for a successful season to come.

Bass Fishing:  The bass fishing team is gearing up for some tough competitions and big catches to have a successful season.  The team is looking forward to ideal conditions that will enhance their opportunity to place at top in their competitions.
