70s Soc-Hop
What better way to recover from the stress of the first day of school than to go to Saturday’s soc-hop?
On August 25, Benet students of all grade levels gathered in the back entrance of the school at 7:30 p.m. to shake out their back-to-school jitters. The theme was 70s, so students wore tie-dyed t-shirts, shorts, and bandanas to dress the part. A night full of dancing and socializing with friends, the back-to-school soc-hop was enjoyed by all who attended.
Admission proceeds for the event went towards funding for future Student Government events. The soc-hop was organized by senior Katie Manzke, who has the title of Special Events Planner for the 2018-19 school year. She will be organizing several other exciting events throughout the school year to give students an opportunity to enjoy themselves and take a break from Benet’s rigorous curriculum. Keep your eye out for details on upcoming sochops, movie nights, and more.
