Fall Play Preview

This year’s fall play production from the Benet Academy Drama Troupe will be Acting Can Be Murder, a mystery/comedy spoofing classic murder mysteries. The show stars Brooke Knapp as Dolores Gordon, a struggling actress who only ever seems to land the role of the inferior understudy. Deciding the only way to get a better role is to take matters into her own hands, she murders the lead actress of an upcoming community theatre production. However, the dysfunctional cast members all seem as if they have something to hide, and when Dolores decides to open the chest in which she hid the evidence of her murder, she finds that her victim’s body has been stolen. But who took it? Full of laughs and satire, this dark humored comedy is sure to keep you guessing until the curtain falls. With a strong supporting cast including Connor Crockett as the male lead, Howard Weaver, this show is one to see this fall.
